Haiku is a brief verse which encapsulates a single moment in time. Haiku avoids subjectivity; impingement of the poets ego, views or values. It displays wit and intellect. Haiku is often the juxtaposition of two concrete images, a universal condition of nature with a particular aspect of human experience, with the hope that the reader makes an insightful connection.

Haiku consists of three lines
first line contains five syllables
second line contains seven syllables
third line contains five syllables

Haiku submitted to BlogNostics is to be the author's original works previously unpublished and not under consideration by any publications, including Web-based journal, personal blogs, websites, and or any social networking sites.

Haiku may be sent in at anytime, upon bn~Editor approval your Haiku will be published in your own personalized Haiku Area. Our editors read Haiku submissions year around. Please allow up to  4 weeks to be published in the Haiku Area. Submissions are unlimited and encouraged.

These will not count against your total submissions, Haiku is considered elective. These will not count against your total submission count.

All Haiku will be eligible for print publication, if your Haiku is chosen for print publication will be notified via email.
